Collect and preserve local San Francisco community wisdom. Youth Speaks, African American Arts and Culture Complex and Story For All want to hear your stories!
As a member of our youth interview team, you will:
- Receive a stipend of up to $500
- Tell your story and the story of your community
- Record interviews and archive audio footage
- Produce and present at community events
- Gain research, communication, public speaking and career skills
- Practice mindfulness and leadership skills
Applications are open to:
- High school students or graduates
- 14 – 24 years old
- No experience necessary, we are looking for young people with a passion for storytelling and community justice
Commitments:
Meet Tuesdays and Thursdays starting August 31st through October 24th from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the African American Arts and Culture Complex in San Francisco for a total of 17 sessions
Project dates:
Performance in January 2018, date TBD
