We want all of our students to choose education!  And we believe money (or a lack thereof) should not stop you!  Please review the scholarship opportunities below.

1. Youth Application: Banneker Homes Oral History Project

Collect and preserve local San Francisco community wisdom. Youth SpeaksAfrican American Arts and Culture Complex and Story For All want to hear your stories!

As a member of our youth interview team, you will:

  • Receive a stipend of up to $500
  • Tell your story and the story of your community
  • Record interviews and archive audio footage
  • Produce and present at community events
  • Gain research, communication, public speaking and career skills
  • Practice mindfulness and leadership skills

Applications are open to:  

  • High school students or graduates
  • 14 – 24 years old
  • No experience necessary, we are looking for young people with a passion for storytelling and community justice

Commitments: 
Meet Tuesdays and Thursdays starting August 31st through October 24th from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the African American Arts and Culture Complex in San Francisco for a total of 17 sessions

Project dates: 
Performance in January 2018, date TBD

2. WOW Farm is hiring! 

WOW Farm offers high school students the opportunity to learn about farming, business, and money management by growing and selling produce and flowers. 

  • Earn up to $700!
