September 22nd Modesto Canvass! There are daily canvasses going on for Josh Harder’s campaign to oust Republican Jeff Denham in CA-10 – but only one upcoming date has an easy transportation solution for folks without cars: Saturday, 9/22. I’ll be going then, and arranged for the Oakland pickup-drop-off in Dimond. I’m managing the google form linked in the flier and will send reminder texts to kids, get them tix for the bus and do some extra training on the ride there. Spanish Bilingual Voter Reg opportunities: If you want to pitch an explicitly non partisan activity, there are voter registration drives happening at huge Spanish language church festivals in the valley all fall. The interfaith group organizing the effort needs lots of Spanish bilingual volunteers Flier/Slide for Non Partisan Weekend Bilingual Voter Registration Multiple weekends now through October. No bus has been arranged but I can help find drivers if you line up kids!
