Day Six: Antigua
To finish up our time in Guatemala, we spent one day in Antigua, just for fun! After a two hour van ride we arrived in Antigua and found a beautiful town filled with history and tourist attractions. My favorite spot was the Choco Museo, or Chocolate Museum.
After a delicious lunch at Rincon Tipico, the students enjoyed zip lining over Antigua, while the chaperones checked everyone into our Hostel, Frank and Fre.
Our last day in Antigua was a day full of shopping and fun! We even had a chance to try Mexican food at Frida’s!
All in all, we had a great trip. Our students learned that global citizenship means taking responsibility for creating change in their community.
Please join us in August for the report back and to learn how you can support the students follow up project: Care packages for the homeless!
